The construction of wind park Eemshaven Southeast was a unique project. For the first time in the world, wind turbines were erected in their entirety with a self-climbing crane! GreenTrust’s involvement included the development, contracting and construction of the project. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Green power for 14,000 households<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wind park Eemshaven Southeast consists of four Lagerwey wind turbines in the north of the Netherlands. Construction of the wind park started in 2019 with the construction of roads, cabling, foundations and crane stands. Construction of the four wind turbines followed in late 2020. Lagerwey’s self-climbing crane was used to install three wind turbines, one turbine was built with a conventional crane. The wind park has been operational since January 2022 and supplies green electricity to some 14,000 households in Groningen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a fantastically beautiful project to work on. It is the first project with which the entire wind turbine has been built with a self-climbing crane, which climbs up through a “verpinning” system. By choosing this crane, we save twice: it saves on the heavy transport of a conventional crane as well as the space required to erect such a crane.<\/div>
