Jeroen is one of the three founding fathers of GreenTrust. Together with Tijmen, he is a director of the holding company GreenTrust Group. He is also a board member of wind farm Egchelse Heide and technical director of wind farm VELM in Croatia. He has extensive experience in contracting and building wind farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m from Meijel, which is in the Peel. This area used to be one big swamp with meter-thick bog layers. Over time, man has mined many of these peatlands and used them as a source of energy. As a result, hardly any natural area remained. Over time, peat mining became obsolete and was eventually banned. This phase of the energy transition is behind us. We are now moving to the next phase: the transition to fully renewable energy sources. This creates space for nature restoration, for example of the remaining peat areas of the Peel around Meijel. In my spare time, I contribute to this as a board member of the VEEN Foundation. This foundation manages land around the nature reserves with the goal of further expanding them. Seeing positive change in my environment energizes me. Just like my daily work!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
