100% Limburgs Wind Park
Wind Park Ospeldijk West is located in the municipality of Nederweert in Limburg. It consists of two Nordex Delta 4000 turbines, which together produce enough energy for approximately 8,000 households. GreenTrust has been involved in the construction and management of the project.
50% cooperative and 100% local ownership
The two wind turbines of Ospeldijk West, together with the additional two wind turbines of Ospeldijk East, form Wind Park Ospeldijk. The wind park, a collaboration between Cooperative Zuidenwind and the Water authority (WML), was completed in 2021. The four turbines collectively deliver approximately 45 million kWh of green electricity annually. Cooperative Zuidenwind owns Ospeldijk East, while WML owns Ospeldijk West. GreenTrust manages the turbines of Ospeldijk West.
The Nordex turbines of Ospeldijk West are pleasant turbines to manage. They are reliable and have proven themselves over the years. Major malfunctions rarely occur because the turbines have been fine-tuned over the years. Additionally, we have good contact with the Water authority WML, which also works very well.
GreenTrust’s Role
Several GreenTrust members have been involved in Wind Farm Ospeldijk West. Joost and Klaas handled the tendering, and Jeroen was responsible for the engineering during construction. Richard manages the turbines, and Anik handles the technical administration.
