Energy Storage and
Congestion Management
From plan to execution: your energy project in development
Developing a renewable energy project goes beyond simply generating green electricity. Especially now that grid congestion is becoming an increasingly significant challenge, it is important to find the right balance between energy supply and demand. The storage or direct consumption of renewable energy plays a major role in this. The experts at GreenTrust are seeking innovative solutions.
Energy Storage
Energy storage is a key component of a sustainable energy system. It offers solutions to challenges such as grid congestion, balancing supply and demand, and managing peaks in renewable energy production. GreenTrust combines technical expertise with strategic insight to develop innovative storage projects.
From battery systems that serve as buffers for wind and solar farms to large-scale storage solutions for balancing the power grid: we guide every project from the initial concept to its final implementation. In doing so, we strive for technically sound storage solutions that are also financially attractive.
Congestion Management
Grid congestion is a growing challenge. GreenTrust develops and implements smart solutions to address grid constraints. Working closely with project developers, grid operators, and other stakeholders, we integrate smart technologies into renewable energy projects. This includes implementing congestion management, battery storage, or even creating entire energy ecosystems.
Our approach begins with an analysis of the specific situation in the project area. We simulate various scenarios and recommend strategies to better align energy production and consumption. In this way, we ensure that projects are not only technically and economically feasible but also contribute to the stability and reliability of the power grid.

Projects
We aim for impact. This makes all the difference.
Battery The Blue Gate
Solar meadow De Blauwe Poort is located in the municipality of Laarbeek. The park will receive addition of a battery storage system. This can store 2 MW of energy. GreenTrust is working on a request in principle and calculating the earnings model.
Battery storage Egchel heath
At Egchelse Heide Wind Farm, options for battery storage are being explored. The idea is a storage system with a capacity between 5 and 10 MWh.
Wind park Westerse Polder
After 20 years, the current wind park Westerse Polder was in need of replacement. The seven wind turbines of the existing wind park were replaced by five Enercon E-126 EP3 wind turbines. Commissioned by Investment Engineering Projects, GreenTrust handled the development, tendering and construction.
