Green Energy Contracts
(cPPA)
Financial benefits and sustainable energy from local sources
The energy market offers a wide range of energy suppliers and contract options. How do you choose the right one for your company? An effective way to ensure green energy is through a corporate Power Purchase Agreement (cPPA). This allows you to directly purchase 100% green electricity from Dutch solar and wind parks. You benefit from financial advantages and get the guarantee that the energy you use is sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Advice, mediation, and support
GreenTrust specializes in developing sustainable energy solutions. Together with our partner Full Power Support, we offer advice, mediation, and legal support in concluding a cPPA. We assist you at every step: from finding the perfect match between energy producer and consumer, balancing consumption profiles, to negotiating the right price and drafting the cPPA.
What is a cPPA?
PPA stands for Power Purchase Agreement. It is a purchase and supply agreement for electricity. You typically enter into a standard PPA with an energy company. With a direct corporate PPA, your company receives electricity generated by a solar or wind park directly, without the involvement of an energy company. The contract includes agreements on electricity price, volume, and risk distribution between producer and consumer. Thanks to a Guarantee of Origin (GoO), you can be certain that the electricity you purchase is sustainably generated. This also allows you to easily report on your environmental objectives. Your company’s CO2 footprint will significantly decrease!
Why choose a direct cPPA?
A cPPA offers your company the opportunity to make energy consumption more sustainable while controlling costs. You benefit from various advantages that traditional energy contracts don’t offer. For instance, you can directly connect your company to sustainable electricity and a specific project. This contributes to your sustainability profile and ‘green’ image. At the same time, you can lock in prices, providing financial security for you as a consumer. And the long-term agreements reduce risks for the green electricity producer.
How does it work?
A cPPA is more complex than a standard energy contract. Coordinating between multiple parties and balancing production and consumption profiles requires specialized knowledge. GreenTrust helps with this. We carefully compare the generation profile of the producer with your company’s consumption profile. For example, if your company has peak consumption in summer due to cooling systems, we’ll connect you to a solar energy producer. If your peak consumption is in the winter months due to lighting, we’ll find a suitable wind energy producer. With our years of experience in developing wind and solar parks, we have an extensive network of sustainable energy producers. We usually arrive at a combination of sources, ensuring the best match between generation and consumption.

Projects
We aim for impact. This makes the difference.
Wind park Zeewolde
Since 2020, the 220 wind turbines of wind park Zeewolde have been replaced step by step with 83 larger, more modern wind turbines. This allows most of the turbines to continue operating as usual during construction. The wind park provides green power for some 280,000 households in southern Flevoland. All old wind turbines are expected to be demolished by the end of 2026.
Wind park Eemshaven ZO
The construction of wind park Eemshaven Southeast was a unique project. For the first time in the world, wind turbines were erected in their entirety with a self-climbing crane!
Wind park North Beveland
The five Nordex N90 wind turbines at the former Jacoba Rippolder wind park were replaced by four Nordex N117 wind turbines in 2021. Each turbine has a capacity of 3.6 MW. Together, they form the new wind park North Beveland.
Wind park Westerse Polder
After 20 years, the current wind park Westerse Polder was in need of replacement. The seven wind turbines of the existing wind park were replaced by five Enercon E-126 EP3 wind turbines. Commissioned by Investment Engineering Projects, GreenTrust handled the development, tendering and construction.
