Wind park North Beveland
Circular construction
The five Nordex N90 wind turbines at the former Jacoba Rippolder wind park were replaced by four Nordex N117 wind turbines in 2021. Each turbine has a capacity of 3.6 MW. Together, they form the new wind park North Beveland.
Reuse of cables and foundation
A special feature of the redevelopment of this wind park is its circular construction. In the process, parts of Jacoba Rippolder were reused for the new North Beveland. For example, the park wiring was reused and the foundations were given a second life as crane stands. The wind turbines have all been sold and will be placed in Eastern Europe. That way they catch the wind there, too.
In August 2021, the last wind turbine was completed. The “new” wind park opened in November 2021. As of January 2022, GreenTrust will operate the wind park.
Role GreenTrust
Several GreenTrusters are working on wind park Noord Beveland. For example, Joost did the financing and contracting and Lieuwe collaborated on the PPA. Romana did the technical design and Tijs supervised construction. Filippos is responsible for operational management. We did the implementation of this project in cooperation with Wind Power Management.

Efficient reuse, that is the special feature of this project! The procurement station and park wiring were reused, as were the existing foundations that served as the foundation for the crane stand. In addition, all the “old” wind turbines have been sold and are getting a second life!”
