Team development

Christian is committed to all kinds of flex projects such as energy storage via batteries, hydrogen, power-to-heat projects and their financial feasibility. He also deals with cable pooling and congestion management.

I have been involved with wind from a young age: in fact, I loved to go sailing and hope to do so more in the future. There is nothing better than letting the wind move you forward. And that is exactly what we are also doing in the energy transition! But we cannot infinitely connect wind turbines to our power grid. When the wind is not blowing, we will have to support our power grid with energy storage systems, among other things. Here I see a great challenge, but also a great opportunity to make our energy system “future proof.” I would like to contribute to that!

Expertise: Systems thinker, positive mindset, specializing in future-proofing grid gridlock of renewable energy, congestion management, energy storage, grid congestion, system integration with energy hubs and energy landscapes.

Projects

With my expertise, I contribute to these projects.

Battery storage Egchelse Heide

At wind park Egchelse Heide, the possibilities for battery storage are being examined. The idea is a storage system with a capacity between 5 and 10 MWh.

project
Realised by

Battery The Blue Gate

Solar meadow De Blauwe Poort is located in the municipality of Laarbeek. The park will receive addition of a battery storage system. This can store 2 MW of energy. GreenTrust is working on a request in principle and calculating the earnings model.

Solar park Larendeel

A group of Druten entrepreneurs has teamed up with GreenTrust to initiate Solar Park Larendeel. This plan provides for a solar park that can provide 37 GWh of sustainable electricity annually. Enough for over 12,000 households in the land of Maas and Waal.

Realised by

Cooperative wind park A2 Lage Rooijen

Since 2017, Cooperation Bommelerwaar and GreenTrust have been working on a cooperative wind park at Lage Rooijen, directly east of the A2 motorway. In January 2026, the three turbines will be officially completed. With the three wind turbines, the park will then generate enough local green energy for about 10,000 households. And is thus booster of a sustainable municipality of Maasdriel.

Realised by

Wind park Westerse Polder

After 20 years, the current wind park Westerse Polder was in need of replacement. The seven wind turbines of the existing wind park were replaced by five Enercon E-126 EP3 wind turbines. Commissioned by Investment Engineering Projects, GreenTrust handled the development, tendering and construction.

Floating solar park BCT

The floating solar park BCT is located next to Windpark BCT which is part of business park Business Centre Treeport along the A16 on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. This floating solar park consists of 1100 solar panels.

Wind park BCT

The BCT Wind Farm is part of business park Business Centre Treeport along the A16 on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. This wind farm consists of two Nordex wind turbines,
