Wind and solar

GreenTrust provided contract management and consulting during construction.

Participation through wind and solar shares

Wind and solar park Koningspleij consists of three wind turbines and 29,700 solar panels. The wind turbines along the Pleijroute near Arnhem generate 24,000 MWh of electricity annually and the solar panels 12,000 MWh. This is equivalent to the energy consumption of 14,500 households. Among other things, the power goes to the 18 municipalities in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region, which use it for public buildings and street lighting. 566 residents from Arnhem and surrounding areas invested in wind shares through Rijn en IJssel Energiecoöperatie and 181 people in solar shares. On their investment, they receive a return.

Very nice to be in GreenTrust’s backyard helping with this wonderful cooperative project. We worked with a nice team and it was new for me to experience a contract in execution. Interesting to see how this phase works.
