Sjoerd Dijk

Sjoerd Dijk is a project manager for wind, solar, and (large-scale) battery storage projects across the country. His extensive civil service and political experience proves very useful in this context.

Surfing, diving, swimming… I enjoy everything in or on the water. Snowboarding is also a favorite. Quite remarkable when you consider that I suffer from fear of heights. After impulsively deciding to try it, I became so enthusiastic that I can now be found on the slopes every year. The first few times going up in the gondola I always have to push through, but when I go down the slope, hear the snow crunch under my board and feel the wind in my face, I get into a flow. The trick is to go with the path that’s there. If you don’t, you’ll fall. That’s similar to overcoming an addiction, I know from experience. I’ve now found my “flow” in real life. At GreenTrust and in helping others with their addiction. That flow gives me peace and makes me happy.
