Remco Melis

Remco Melis has been a business developer at GreenTrust since 2025, focusing on new opportunities for renewable energy projects. Before joining GreenTrust, he focused on selling and making electric and gasless heating systems more sustainable.

I’ve been skiing since I was 11 years old and haven’t been able to live without it since. The mountains, the cold, nature: they give me energy. But above all: it helps, me to clear my head. No noise, just down the mountain, focus and enjoy. My family and I therefore spend several weeks a year in Austria. The motto used to be ‘first and last elevator up’. I am still fanatical, but in recent years I have also learned to enjoy the stops in between: a cup of coffee, sitting down for a while and enjoying the sun.

I also recognize the alternation between action and reflection in my work. I constantly look for promising projects and make sure that the right GreenTrusters are linked to them to make something beautiful out of it. I am a real deal maker. This requires sharpness and speed, but also the ability to stand still for a moment, take a distance and look again for the best path, just like on the track.
