Wind park Hazeldonk (Expansion)
The three wind turbines of Wind park Hazeldonk have been operating along the A16 near Breda since 2015. After developing this existing park, GreenTrust is also involved as an advisor in the expansion with one additional wind turbine.
Wind Park Hazeldonk: Expansion fits the alignment
The expansion with one additional turbine fits the alignment of the current wind park. The existing grid connection will also be utilized. This project involves close collaboration with the Province of Brabant. This province aims to be energy neutral by 2050. To achieve this, the province, together with four municipalities, has taken the initiative to develop wind energy along the A16, including Wind Park Hazeldonk.
I am involved in the development of the expansion of the existing wind park. In my view, this expansion is a logical addition in line with the existing Hazeldonk wind park where we make optimal use of the existing grid connection. What I personally find very good is that 25% of the ownership of this wind turbine has been made available to the area.
Planning
There is currently an irrevocable environmental permit in place. GreenTrust acts as an advisor in this project. The start date for construction is yet to be determined.
