VE Lički Medvjed
Wind park in the mountains
In the mountains of Otočac, Croatia, GreenTrust wants to develop the largest wind park in Croatia. In a nature-inclusive and social way, so that nature and the environment benefit. In addition to feasibility, development and technical design, communication is key here.
Flora, fauna and wind energy
Enhance flora and fauna and generate green energy? That is the goal of VE Lički Medvjed. And by building infrastructure, creating local jobs and encouraging community initiatives, the local environment also benefits.
Environment involved
Currently, the project is still in the development phase. That means: conducting nature studies, applying for permits and working on the technical design. We keep the surrounding area informed through information evenings, local events and classes in elementary schools. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2026. Follow the project through the VE Lički Medvjed website.

I love working on the development of a wind park in my home country and would like to make it a success. It makes me especially happy that this project not only converts wind into green energy, but that the region – a less developed part in Croatia – will benefit economically. It can really give a positive boost to the environment. There is still a long way to go, but I look forward to seeing the wind turbines in action!
