De Ambtenaar

Wind park De Ambtenaar was redeveloped in 2012. The 1 MW Nedwind turbine was replaced with an Enercon E-126 that produces as much as seven and a half times more energy. GreenTrust worked on this project on behalf of Investment Engineering Projects.

The Official: from 1 MW to 7.5 MW

Wind park De Ambtenaar’s existing 1MW wind turbine has been replaced by the 7.5 MW Enercon E-126. This one wind turbine provides enough energy to power 13,000 households and 12,000 tons less in CO2 emissions annually. With a tip height of 198.5 meters, the E126 turbine from German manufacturer Enercon was the tallest wind turbine in the Netherlands during construction.
