Wind park Roosendaalsche Vliet
Consultation in the barn
Wind park Roosendaalsche Vliet is an initiative of 20 farmers in the Roosendaal region. Together they invested in the construction of a wind park along the A17 motorway. Since 2016, the wind park has been in operation and the three Vestas V90 wind turbines have a combined installed capacity of 9 MW.
Long breath
Vestas’ three V90 wind turbines are 105 meters high with 44-meter rotor blades. With the wind energy generated, about 5,000 of the 35,359 households in the municipality of Roosendaal can be supplied with power.
The project took a long time: the initiative was born in 2002 and the park was built in 2015. “We didn’t know then that it would take so long,” laughs Nispense dairy farmer Jan Denissen, chairman of the WP Roosendaalsche Vliet BV partnership in BN de Stem. “The courage really got the better of me at times.” More information about the park can be found on the project website.

This was a really nice client to work for. With such a group of agriculturists, you end up anywhere. For example, we often met at kitchen tables and negotiated entire wind turbine contracts in a barn. I think we as GreenTrust were able to contribute a lot to this project. And that’s always a nice feeling!
Role GreenTrust
Several GreenTrusters contributed to this project. So Romana provided the technical design, Klaas helped with the contracting, and Joost supervised the contracting and construction. Filippos does the operational management of Roosendaalsche Vliet.
