Swift Action, Minimal Damage

How Our Management Team Handles Unexpected Situations

An unexpected report from the area: ‘People are walking across the solar park, but we don’t know if they belong here.’ Our management team immediately took action. The systems were checked for anomalies, such as in the park’s production, a security guard was dispatched, and not long after, the security guards discovered a hole in the fence at the solar park. ‘No one is present anymore, but it looks like a break-in. Something may have been taken. We’re contacting the police right away.’

Although there were no cameras present at this park, our managers took immediate action. The first priority: stabilize the situation and prevent further damage. A security company was contacted, which installed sensors and temporary cameras that same afternoon to prevent possible further damage. Meanwhile, manager Senne was in contact with the surrounding community and the police, while Kazim focused on the systems and Richard assisted with practical matters.

Recovery and Prevention

After filing a report with the police, the extent of the damage was assessed. The installation was inspected to determine what was still functioning and which parts needed replacement. Subsequently, new cables were laid and tested, followed by an inspection. The park owners were kept informed of all developments, and a decision was made for temporary security at the park. Power was needed for the temporary security. Our team quickly arranged a temporary power supply.

Proactive Monitoring

‘Thanks to the good cooperation between the maintenance party and the security company, we were able to act so quickly. Additionally, all data, including production deviations, are checked daily via our fault line,’ says manager Kazim. ‘As soon as something deviates, we stand ready. By acting quickly, we were able to minimize the loss. After stabilizing the situation following this break-in, we developed a proposal to prevent such situations in the future. After all, safety is an essential part of professional management. An extra nice aspect is that we work as a team where cooperation is quick and smooth, which makes my job even more enjoyable.’
