Redevelopment: feasibility, financing, and contracts
Together we give your energy project a second life
A feasible redevelopment of your energy project starts with a good analysis of the potential yields and thus the financial feasibility. This also includes attracting new investors and drafting and reviewing legal agreements with landowners, suppliers, and investors. Based on this, we lay the foundation for a well-organized redevelopment project.
When redeveloping a project, we follow the same steps as for a new wind or solar project. For redevelopment too, we can take care of the entire process or parts of it for you: from feasibility studies, permits, financial advice, and contracts, right through to construction and management. Our professionals are happy to help you further.
A selection of our redevelopment services:
Yield calculations
To get a realistic picture of the financial feasibility and return on investment of the energy project, we perform yield calculations. Using these, we analyze and predict the economic performance of a redevelopment project. We calculate, among other things, the expected energy production, operational costs, and profitability.
Financing
If redevelopment proves feasible, it’s important to arrange the financial resources needed for the project’s implementation. This includes preparing financial plans, applying for loans or subsidies, and attracting investors. The goal: a financially feasible and profitable project.
Contracts
To successfully realize a redevelopment project, several aspects need to be established. GreenTrust assists in drafting, reviewing, and managing legal agreements. This includes new agreements with landowners, suppliers, and investors. By doing so, we clearly document arrangements, ensuring smooth collaboration during implementation.
Environmental Permits
Often, an environmental permit is also required for redeveloping an energy project. GreenTrust’s experts coordinate the procedure and provide advice on building permits, environmental regulations, and spatial planning. This ensures that the redevelopment complies with all regulations and can be carried out without delay.

Projects
We aim for impact. This makes the difference.
Wind park Westerse Polder
After 20 years, the current wind park Westerse Polder was in need of replacement. The seven wind turbines of the existing wind park were replaced by five Enercon E-126 EP3 wind turbines. Commissioned by Investment Engineering Projects, GreenTrust handled the development, tendering and construction.
De Ambtenaar
Wind Farm De Ambtenaar was redeveloped in 2012. The 1 MW Nedwind turbine was replaced by an Enercon E-126 that produces as much as seven and a half times more energy.
