Smart grid solutions for solar parks
Due to the rapid growth of sustainable energy, the electricity grid is becoming increasingly congested. GreenTrust helps find practical solutions to create space on the grid, such as cable pooling, energy hubs, battery storage and charging plazas for mobility.
We think along and smartly coordinate generation, storage and consumption. We always do this together with grid operators, entrepreneurs, cooperatives and municipalities. We tailor our role to your needs: advisory, executive or as a full project partner. With extensive knowledge and experience in smart grid congestion solutions, we make projects even more sustainable.
Sustainable development with consideration for nature and environment
At GreenTrust, it’s not just about energy, but also about support. We believe in collaboration from the beginning. That’s why we actively involve residents and local organizations in every project. Not just by informing, but by truly working together. We organize community meetings, advisory groups, information evenings, tours and much more. We strive for at least 50% local ownership through energy cooperatives, so that the revenues stay in the region and support grows.
We also take responsibility for nature. Together with ecologists, we ensure nature-inclusive design and integration. Think of flower-rich borders, space for birds and insects, and management with an eye for biodiversity. Solar meadow De Blauwe Poort is a good example of this.

Solar park de Grift
Solar Park de Grift is located next to Wind Park Nijmegen-Betuwe, along the A15 highway near Nijmegen. As one of the first cooperative solar parks in the Netherlands, it utilizes cable pooling, where the wind park and solar park share a grid connection. With over 11,000 panels, the solar park has been providing sustainable energy for approximately 1500 households since 2022.
Solar park Zonnewilg
Together with the nine wind turbines of Wind park Den Tol, solar park de Zonnewilg forms an energy landscape along the German border near Netterden. The solar park has a total installed capacity of about 16 MW. Since the spring of 2025, the solar park has been supplying energy.
