After spending several years building various wind farms in the Caribbean islands, Tijs has been part of GreenTrust as construction manager since November 2018. He is involved in Wind Farm BCT, Wind Farm Energy Groote Haar, our wind farms in Croatia and Solar Meadow The Blue Gate.
Motorcycling is something I love. The experience of the environment is many times more intense than in a car. You literally taste, smell and experience where you are driving. Motorcycling can be done year-round, for my other big hobby – kitesurfing – I rely on spring and summer. What kitesurfing and motorcycling have in common? Both are soothing to me. I prefer riding off road, discovering new roads. In Curaçao where I lived for three years, it was fine. I explored the entire island on a motorcycle. Senses open, start the engine and go.

Zonneweide The Blue Gate
Sun, water and nature characterize Solar Meadow The Blue Gate in the municipality of Laarbeek. Built in 2022, the solar meadow, with 9.5MW, generates enough green energy for about 3,000 households.
Wind park Cahermurphy
It often blows hard in Cahermurphy, Ireland. A great place, then, for a wind park. There are now three Enercon E92 wind turbines and a fourth turbine will be added in 2025. Among other things, GreenTrust is providing the technical design, construction and management here.
Wind park North Beveland
The five Nordex N90 wind turbines at the former Jacoba Rippolder wind park were replaced by four Nordex N117 wind turbines in 2021. Each turbine has a capacity of 3.6 MW. Together, they form the new wind park North Beveland.
Wind park Eemshaven ZO
The construction of wind park Eemshaven Southeast was a unique project. For the first time in the world, wind turbines were erected in their entirety with a self-climbing crane!
Wind park Den Tol
East of Netterden, close to the German border, lies wind park Den Tol. An initiative of six agricultural families, who eventually managed to realize nine wind turbines here. The wind farm has been in full operation since 2022. The arrival of a solar park will create an energy landscape here in the future.
Battery The Blue Gate
Solar meadow De Blauwe Poort is located in the municipality of Laarbeek. The park will receive addition of a battery storage system. This can store 2 MW of energy. GreenTrust is working on a request in principle and calculating the earnings model.
Floating solar park BCT
The floating solar park BCT is located next to Windpark BCT which is part of business park Business Centre Treeport along the A16 on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. This floating solar park consists of 1100 solar panels.
Wind park BCT
The BCT Wind Farm is part of business park Business Centre Treeport along the A16 on the border of the Netherlands and Belgium. This wind farm consists of two Nordex wind turbines,
