Wind, solar, storage and grid: the smart combination

The future of energy is flexible and local. That’s why we smartly combine wind energy with solar parks, batteries, charging plazas and other intelligent energy combinations. We also help with grid congestion through solutions like cable pooling and energy hubs. This way we optimize the use of available grid capacity – and create space for more sustainable generation.

Sustainable energy with support

At GreenTrust it’s not just about energy, but also about trust. We believe in the power of collaboration. That’s why we involve local residents and organizations at an early stage. Not just by informing, but by truly working together.

We strive for at least 50% local ownership through energy cooperatives. This keeps the returns in the region and increases support. Our experience with dozens of cooperatives makes us an experienced partner for social and financial participation.

Nature-inclusive development

In our vision, sustainable energy goes hand in hand with care for nature. That’s why we work closely with ecologists to limit the impact on the living environment – and where possible, actually improve it. From ecological integration to bird-friendly designs: we always look for win-wins for both energy and nature.

Care for environment and nuisance reduction

We are aware that wind energy can be sensitive and sometimes causes nuisance. That’s why we do everything to minimize disturbance to the environment. We go beyond legal standards, for example in the area of shadow flicker. Where possible, we apply special measures, such as smart lighting that dims at night or only activates when air traffic is detected.

GreenTrust also works with its own nuisance protocol. This precisely describes how we handle any complaints or concerns from the environment, and what steps we take to resolve nuisance quickly and carefully.

Financially strong and future-proof

GreenTrust has extensive experience in financing (cooperative) wind projects. We help energy cooperatives and other partners with advice on financing structures, subsidies, investors and risk analysis. Together we ensure solid, successful projects.

Stronger together in wind energy

Whether you’re a government, cooperative, bank or company: GreenTrust is your partner in wind energy. We combine substantive knowledge, a strong network and years of experience toward one goal: sustainable energy that works – for everyone.

In January 2026, the three turbines will be officially completed. With the three wind turbines, the park will then generate enough local green energy for about 10,000 households. And is thus booster of a sustainable municipality of Maasdriel.

It often blows hard in Cahermurphy, Ireland. A great place, then, for a wind park. There are now three Enercon E92 wind turbines and a fourth turbine will be added in 2025. Among other things, GreenTrust is providing the technical design, construction and management here.

project
Realised by

Egchel Heath Wind Farm

Wind park Egchelse Heide consists of five wind turbines in the municipality of Peel and Maas. The project was realized in cooperation with the local energy cooperative Peel Energie. GreenTrust participates in this project, supported its development and provides operational management.

project
Realised by

VE Lički Medvjed

In the mountains of Otočac, Croatia, GreenTrust wants to develop the largest wind farm in Croatia. In a nature-inclusive and social way, so that nature and the environment benefit. In addition to feasibility, development and technical design, communication is key here.

project
Realised by

Wind park Krammer

Wind park Krammer is the largest citizens' initiative in the Netherlands. on and around the Krammer locks, the nearly 5,000 members of cooperatives Zeeuwind and Deltawind have developed a wind park with 34 wind turbines. The wind park has an installed capacity of 102 MW, providing enough power for over 100,000 households. The power is purchased directly by Nouryon, DSM, Google and Philips.

project
Realised by

Cooperative wind park Spinderwind

Members of 11 energy cooperatives in the municipality of Tilburg and region of Hart van Brabant took the initiative for a wind park in Tilburg in 2018. This together with Energiefonds Brabant. As of April 2020, the wind farm's four wind turbines provide enough renewable electricity for 7,500 households.

project
Realised by

Energy Park Koningspleij

Energiepark Koningspleij near Arnhem consists of three wind turbines and a solar meadow. Among other things, the park provides energy for public buildings and street lighting in 18 municipalities in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region.

project
Realised by

Windmill the North

Windmill De Noord is part of wind park Zonzeel along the A16 motorway. A unique project, as De Noord supplies electricity directly to the village of Terheijden. Through the Traais Energie Collectief, the residents of this village want to fully meet their own energy needs with locally generated sustainable energy.

project
Realised by

Wind park Delta North

Delta Noord consists of one Vestas V117 turbine that has been increased from 3.3 MW to 3.5 MW. The turbine is located in the north of the Netherlands, in between other wind farms. After construction, GreenTrust took over management.

project
Realised by

Wind park Den Tol

East of Netterden, close to the German border, lies wind park Den Tol. An initiative of six agricultural families, who eventually managed to realize nine wind turbines here. The wind farm has been in full operation since 2022. The arrival of a solar park will create an energy landscape here in the future.

project
Realised by

Wind park Eemshaven ZO

The construction of wind park Eemshaven Southeast was a unique project. For the first time in the world, wind turbines were erected in their entirety with a self-climbing crane!

project
